MDF-C2156VAN -150°C Cryogenic Freezer | Laboratory Freezer
|
|
|
| Cryogenic freezers that
freeze down to temperatures as low as
-150°C enables
semi-permanent preservation of samples. The Panasonic Cryogenic freezer is
the ultimate cryogenic freezer that does not require liquid
nitrogen to achieve cryogenic freezing levels.
The
Panasonic cryogenic Freezer stores samples
at -150C, well below the recrystalisation
temperature of -130°C.
|
Why Freeze to -150C
in a cryogenic freezer
An
important factor to consider when preserving cells or tissue,
when using a cryogenic freezer, is to prevent amorphous ice crystals from
recrystallizing within and outside the cells. Cryogenic
freezing is therefore important to retain cell viability during
cryopreservation.
Samples
that are maintained in an ultra-low temperature freezer at
-150°C which is far lower than the recrystallization point
(-130°C for pure water) can be preserved
semi-permanently.
Cryogenic
freezer preservation
at ultra-low temperatures maintains vitrification without
crystallization occurring inside and outside cells. In contrast
to conventional liquid nitrogen preservation containers, freezer
preservation has numerous advantages: no sample contamination,
no sudden liquid eruptions as well as low operational costs. Panasonic
freezers make long-term storage below the
recrystallization point easier and more stable than ever before.

Specially designed
compressor and refrigeration system for the cryogenic freezer
This Cryogenic Freezer features a specially
designed compressor and a cascade refrigeration system for rapid and durable ultra-low
temperature pull-down. This cutting edge technology also ensures that
noise levels emitted are kept to a minimum.

V.I.P. PLUS™ Insulation within the cryogenic freezer
150°C
cryogenic freezers use patented
revolutionary vacuum insulation cabinet
construction that reduces the wall thickness
from 175mm to 135mm (6.9” to 5.3”)
and achieves up to 25% more storage capacity
than a conventionally insulated freezer
without increasing the footprint.

Cryogenic
freezer: Micro-processor
Temperature Control with LED Digital Display
Extremely
accurate, easy-to-read display. The temperature inside the
cryogenic freezer can be
set and monitored easily by means of the microprocessor
temperature control with an LCD digital display. The display
uses pop-up menus and provides a graphical display with
data-logging functions. Temperature data is electronically
recorded for either one week or one month periods. The history
of lid opening and closing is recorded for lid openings that
exceed 2 minutes.
The
display also shows status alert monitoring. The ambient
conditions and system conditions are continually monitored to
provide an alert of any abnormalities before a potential problem
happens.

Cryogenic
freezer: Hot
line for secure sealing
Moisture
condensation at the top edges of the cabinet due to differences
in temperature inside and out causes frost and icing problems
that may reduce heat insulation efficiency and obstruct door
movements. These problems are prevented by the “hot line” by
means of which hot gas from the higher temperature circuit is
circulated through the problem areas.
